JOB VACANCY - EXPERIENCED BLACKSMITH
We have a vacancy for an experienced Blacksmith. We are a
traditional forge in Dorset involved with a wide variety of projects with
wrought iron, cast iron and steel. Projects include heritage restoration work
as well as the production of gates, railings, balconies and all manner of other
ironwork. We are looking for a Smith
with solid skills in traditional forge work as well as the ability to use more
modern fabrication techniques when the job requires. Knowledge, passion and
experience with historic restoration is desired as we are looking for someone
who can work under their own initiative and help the progression of less
experienced staff. The right person will be flexible and willing to work as part
of a team with other Smiths and Fabricators on larger projects. The role will
also include site fittings, which often involves travelling and staying away.
If you are interested in joining us, please email your CV
to mail@newtonforge.co.uk.
Alternatively call us on 01258 472407.
